YUEN ~Relationship~
Origin of the name "YUEN"
To express the evolution of cutlery making from its origins,
That is why it was named YUEN (reason).
"The design combines taste and sophistication, a fusion of craftsmanship and machining."
We have moved away from the idea of mass-producing the same products using machines.
We allowed freedom in the manufacturing process and attempted to combine it with hand-crafting to create a unique look.
We are committed to craftsmanship that values the eyes, hands, and senses of the craftsman, a style unique to the Japanese.
We have created cutlery that looks like handmade pottery that can only be found at that time.
" A shape suited to ever-evolving eating styles"
Tsubame's cutlery has been based on Western cutlery culture, but just like Japanese cuisine,
Western cuisine has also been influenced by cuisines from various countries and has evolved into something more modern.
We have created a lineup of products that will come in handy in such modern situations, and that can be used as part of a series or as individual items.
"A unique design that expresses the evolution of Tsubame's craftsmanship"
The design allows you to feel the evolution of Tsubame's Western tableware through just one piece of cutlery.
The handle end expresses the Tsuiki technique cultivated in Tsubame,
From there, the cutlery is gradually finished using current cutlery manufacturing methods, moving towards the head (tip).
Tsubame's Western tableware originated from the technique of hammered copperware. After the war, mechanization progressed.
You can also experience the evolution of Tsubame's technology, which has now reached a level of quality that can compete on the world stage.
