■Product Description: Kukan Chuzo has a workshop in Mizusawa, Iwate Prefecture, one of the leading producers of Nanbu ironware. They create iron tools with simple designs that match modern lifestyles while adhering to traditional techniques. Crafted using the green casting method, in which molten iron is poured into a sand-hardened mold, the unique texture and flavor of the iron material is fully expressed on the surface of the cast. Moon features an incredibly low and thin body and a uniquely shaped, sturdy spout. Remove the tea strainer and it could also be used as a sake pourer. The interior is enameled to prevent rust.
